Leam Sing Beach is a prominent tourist attraction in the east of Thailand. The tourists are enchanted in beach, seaside, rocks and fresh atmosphere which they want to go back to as to admire scenic vie and beautiful seaside near Bangkok. On the other hand, there is a legend about the rocks which resemble lions and the name of the beach originates from this legend.

The legend of a couple of lions originates from a mountain “Khao Leam Sing” which is located in the area of Paknam, Chanthaburi Province. The Khao Leam Sing is named after the rocks which are islet leaning out towards the sea in the front of mountain. Two of these rocks resemble seem lions with their head, body, tail, feet and eyes. The body is 6 meters in length, 1.5 meters in width off sea level 2.5 meters and standing with each other towards the sea. The rocks are mostly worshipped by fishermen. An legend goes that there were no the rocks originally but there were a real couple of lions on the Leam Sing Mountain. The couple of lions always went tout together and washed their body in the sea every day. Later, a group of French waited to injure the couple of lions by using a kind of wxplosive. Once of the lions died and the other ran into the sea. When the other died, it became a lion stone standing at seaside and the dead lion only appeared as ruins beside the big stone in lion shape. The stone is used as the landmark for sea liners since B>E>12, recording in animals when Sui Dynasty (Chinese) travelled from Guangdong to Xidu City believed to be the Thai Peninsula in the south. After the boat had passed the stones around 2-3 days, they saw the scenic view of Lungyasiw region shich must be a big city along Chaopraya River. After, they turned the boat back, passing the south of Rung Kai Island to Xidu region. The Lion Stones were well known later. Until, westerners looked for a colony then a Frech navy tested his talent by shooting the head of lion, then fell into the sea and the lion rocks have been incomplete from this time on.

Leam Sing Beach is located at Tambon Paknam Laem Sing, Chanthaburi Province and about 30 kilometers off the city. Travelling by using Sukhumvit Road, you have to head for Trat Province, around kilometer markers 347. Then you will see an intersection on your right. Going straight 16 kilometers, you will arrive at Leam Sing Beach. The atmosphere agreeable due to pin trees along the beach and man deck chair with facilities for tourists well-arranged on the beach.
