Pinwheel (or Bang Talai in Thai) one of an amazing festival in Thailand this is another type of Thai rocket it made of steel pipe with the gunpowder inside, around the pipe using bamboo pieces sheaved together in the circular form. When the Pinwheel rocket is fired up it will spin around itself and twirling to the sky. There are couple size of Pinwheel or Bung Talai named Bang Talai Saen, Bang Talai Laan and Bang Talai Sib Laan is the largest one which is 6 meters of the diameter the total wieght is close to one ton or more.

    Pinwheel Rocket Festival is held annually in May at Ban Kut Wa, Kalasin province. This tradition is to pay respect to the god of rain, they believed that after this day the god will give them the rain enough for plant the rice.

    One day before fire up they will have the parade of rocket and dancing performance from Si Kut Wa Rueangwit School to Wat Kok Tong.
