Wat Chakrawan Phumphinit was established in 1787 and King Rama V bestowed a new compound to this temple in 19 May 1908. The Sim or Ubosot of Wat Chakrawan Phumphinit is in the regional style of the Northeast which is an influenced by many Laotian and Thai style from the early Bangkok period. The architectural element which lies on the roof ridge at the wooden decoration of this hall are the Cho Fa (a decorative gable top), the Bai Raka (a decorative architectural element on the gable ridge), the Hang Hong (a part of the gable and decoration), the Khan Thuai (a wooden bracket used to support the projecting eaves of large buildings) and the Rung Phueng (a decorative architctural element with carved wooden panel fixed immediately beneath the gable decorations). In addition, the interior and exterior of this ordination hall depict mural paintinggs in the native style.
