Sukhothai Loi Krathong and Candle Festival
Loi Krathong is a very famous tradition originated in Sukhothai, which is the first capital of Thailand. Traditionally the people of Thailand over the country to attend the event held in many provinces. Most of Thai people join the Loi Krathong near home some times we go to join a big one. There are many beautiful Loi Krathong organizers such as Chiang Mai, Tak, Sukhothai, Ayutthaya And Bangkok.
Every year I will plan to see this festival in different province and today I have pictures from Sukhothai Loi Krathong and Candle Festival, the originate of this tradition for you.

Krathong parade to see this festival I suggest that you should stay in Sukhothai a night ahead so you have half day in the morning to ride the bicycle around the ancient. Loi Krathong parade will start around 3.00 p.m. from the town to the Sukhothai historical park at that time you will see a lot of people waiting there. Every year communities and organizations will create a beautiful Krathong for the contest the parade look different depend on their decide they may use the palanquin or pick up truck, decorated with flowers. This parade is over 2 kilometers long.
