Khao Kaen Chan (เขาแก่นจันทร์ จุดชมวิวสวยกลางเมืองราชบุรี) Ratchaburi admire a beautiful sight of Ratchaburi from this viewpoint, Khao Kaen Chan originally well known as ‘Khao Chan Daeng’ a small mountain in Ratchaburi downtown approximately 141 meters height on Phetkasem Road about two kilometres from the main provincial area. On the top of the mountain is a nice place for sunset and sunrise however the opening hours is between 7am - 6 pm. so it is only sunset we can see there ;). beside the viewpoint there is a shrine of ‘Phra Phuttha Nirokantaraichaiwat Chaturathit’ or ‘Phra Si Mum Mueang’ one of the four Buddha images ordered by His Majesty the King to be ordinated at four different provinces of Thailand as follow: Ratchaburi, Lam Pang, Saraburi, and Phattalung. (four Buddha images created according to a traditional belief dated back to Ayutthaya period, saying that holy objects are needed in order to protect all four borders of the city or the empire.)
