The Srinagarind Dam (also known as the Srinakarin Dam; Thai: Khuean Sinakharin) is an embankment dam on the Khwae Yai river in Si Sawat District of Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand. The main purpose of the dam is river regulation and hydroelectric power generation. The dam's power station has a 720 megawatts (970,000 hp) capacity of which 360 megawatts (480,000 hp) is pumped storage.
On the tourism side the dam been used for relaxing around this area are panoramic view the lake surrounded by the mountains boat trip are availabel and some waterfalls not far from the dam one of the most popular is Erawan waterfall.
Most people like to do a day trip to Srinagarind Dam however by stay over night is a good plan as well to explore more attractions around area.
