Wat Pa Ban Tad: The general condition of this temple is a forest area on a hill, with a total area of approximately 163 rai, surrounded by a wall. In addition to the purpose of defining the temple's boundaries, it also serves to protect wild animals that live in the temple's forest area, because the temple area is full of wild animals, including pheasants, jungle fowl, birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and wild boars. Wat Pa Ban Tad is the residence of Phra Ajahn Maha Bua Yanasampanno. He was a monk with virtuous conduct and was revered by Buddhists in general. He is a suitable destination for those seeking Dhamma practice. During Luang Ta Maha Bua's lifetime, many devotees visited the temple grounds to make merit and offer alms in the morning. Even after Luang Ta passed away, numerous Buddhists and disciples continued to make pilgrimages to the temple. Originally, due to the vastness of the temple grounds, surrounded by a variety of trees, large and small, resembling a natural forest, it was difficult to see any buildings within the temple grounds. Today, the Dhamma Chedi Museum has been constructed. This large and beautiful chedi was built to commemorate and enshrine Luang Ta Maha Bua's relics, making it the most striking sight within the temple grounds.
Location: Wat Pa Ban Tad is located in Ban Tad Subdistrict. Travel from the city on Highway No. 2, Udon Thani-Khon Kaen route, until you reach the Ban Khong Keng intersection. Turn right and continue for another 9 kilometers until you reach the temple, which is not far from the Ban Tad community.
