Wat Boon Yuen is a royal temple, aging over 200 years, Prince Attaworapanyo, the 55th Nan ruler, built the vihare. Then the temple was renamed as "Wat Boon Yuen" after the standing Buddha imagein this vihara was completed. This monastery is famous of the delicate finely carved teak doors of the vihara. This temple was registered as the national heritage in 2485 B.E.
