Khao Chi Chan
Khao Chi Chan features a sculptural of big Buddha image erected to honor His Majesty King erected to honor is Majesty King Bhumibol on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his enthronement. In the past Khao Chee Chan is a high mountain can be seen in the distance, it was concession for the quarry to be used in the construction long time ago, until the natural disturbed, the explosion spoil the atmosphere in the practice of meditation, even wild animals and the birds fled to other area. His Majesty King has the initiative to stop that explosion at Khao Chee Chan and command to carve the Buddha picture on this mountain. To build a place of Buddhism and also to preserve Khao Chee Chan to remain in a state it is. Khao Chee Chan is about 169 meters high and 255 meters wide, located around 2 kilometers from the Wat Yan Sang Wararam to the south. The Buddha picture sculptural is 150 meters high and 100 meter wide people usually go there for both seeing and respecting this amazing Buddha image.
Khoa Chi Chan opens from 06.00 am to 6.00 pm.
From Sukhumvit Road turn left to Ban Yen road (opposite to Soi Na Chom Tien 52) then drive straight away about 6 kilometers to Khao Chi Chan. There are also Songtaews and Taxi to go there.
