Wat Huai Pla Kang or some time can be spelled as Wat Huay Pla Kang many tourists called this temple as Big Buddha temple in fact the big white statue is the largest Guanyin statue in Thailand which can go inside to the top like the 9 storey pagoda in the temple that use Chinese style with 2 dragons in the front. This temple was established in 2001 in Lanna and Chinese style that valuable together. Inside the pagoda is Chinese statues including Goddess Guanyin statues which is the wood carving statue.
Wat Huai Pla Kang is located on the hiil not far from the downtown but no public transportation to there. The best way to get there might be hiring the city transportation bus or Tuk-Tuk.
Wat Huai Pla Kang is no admission fee, but to go inside the statue the fee is 40 Baht.
Tourists must follow the rule of temple and respect : Dress properly (knees and shoulders should be covered), Take off your shoes when entering the buildings, Be quiet, Don't hug or kiss, Don't point your feet to Buddha's image.
Temple is no smoking area by law.
